Mike- A unit plan is like a puzzle because you have to start with certain pieces and put them together so everything makes sense. You start with your standards, objectives, and assessment, then build your lessons around that. Each is like a piece that connects to the next, and by the end it all comes together into one full picture.

Unit plans have various parts and components/similar to a puzzle... we have to put the pieces together to make it a complete product .. puzzle pieces only fit in certain areas.. the same way that a unit plan components cannot be all over the place, they only fit in certain areas

-You should start with the most important piece that clarify's what to do with the rest of the puzzle/plan (the corner piece of the puzzle =the main goal of the unit).

-The 4 corners you should start with in a puzzle are also like the objectives you should start with for each lesson to plan out the rest of the steps/moves.
