<title>While scrolling through the “ #fostercareawarness” hashtag on Instagram, I can count on one hand the amount of times I have seen anything about an african american child needing a home. But can not count on how many white children i seen, even to try to advertise for the system. Why is this okay? Why are there little to no black children being shown? </title>

While there are many families with one or two parents of color looking to adopt babies and young children, finding families to foster or adopt many older kids in the system remains a challenge. -</title>
