She was 17 and had just began studies at a trade school in Würzburg, she then got a job for the government doing clerical work. In  the mornings she worked for a school board then in the afternoons for a lawyer. By 1933 jews were stripped of work and were gave fewer ration stamps, soon they did not have enough to eat.  The nazis then stormed into homes using axes to chop through the doors, and break the windows. They took and destroyed things in the homes like silver, featherbeds, quilts, and food. Many jewish men and boys were taken to never be seen again.
