The SAMR Model video from prezi asks why technology has grown so much but educators are still using the same teaching ways from twenty years ago? Well, I agree that technology should not be a substitute but a tool for students to be engaged, and apply learned knowledge. Technology should be used as a tool and recourse for students to reach the next level of learning. Under supervision of teachers, students can play learning games, sing songs, and express themselves through art and writing, and engage in kinesthetic learning. Because many students learn best visually, technology is a great recourse to reach those students. Technology also allows students to connect and learn about other cultures, as well as being informed about current events. Communication and information has sky rocketed due to technology.
