         <description><![CDATA[<div>TThe stamp act, which taxed all paper goods was one of the first events which led to the U.S. Revolution. In the Boston Massacre, a group of soldiers shot into an&nbsp; group of unarmed civilians which only stirred the colonists hatred of Britian. Because of the tea tax, colonists invaded the Boston Harbor and dumped all of the tea overboard. The last straw for the colonists was the Intolerable Acts which further confined the colonists.</div>]]></description>

They also lacked authority to regulate commerce/trade between states. </div>]]></description>
