The idea came from the story of Alexander Selkirk. He lived on the island Juan Fernandez since 1704 to 1709. Daniel Defoe wrote his book inspired in him in 1719.

Robinson Crusoe arrived the island on Sept 30 1659. He lived here for 27 years and in this period, he built a home, a garden,  he found good land with trees and a lot of fruit. He dried fruit to eat.
