She is a contemporary Polish painter, stained glass artist and tapestry maker, who became famous through her „Children of the World” series, which was presented in many countries in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. Reproductions of the paintings were also used in a series of postcards, which made the artist’s work quite popular. Danuta Muszyńska – Zamorska loved travel. She visited Europe, Asia, North and South America and Africa – that’s were her children’s portraits were created. Her paintings and tapestries were offered as gifts to state visitors, e.g. John Paul II, UN Secretary Kurt Valdheim. The painter had had around 200 art shows in Poland and abroad. The portrait show a Slavic girl, with plaited hair falling freely over her shoulder. The plait is tied with a black ribbon. The child is wearing in a blue dress. The eponymous girl has her head tilted to the side, she appears to be lost in thought or maybe tired or shy. The effect of so realistically capturing this moment was possible due to great mastery of drawing. The shading and sure lines make the girl’s face appear delicate and full of expression. The texture and dynamic hairstyle were achieved through the use of clear, soft, curving lines done in pastel.

Wyspiański was one of the most outstanding and multifaceted artists of his time in Poland under the foreign partitions. He successfully joined the trends of modernism with themes of the Polish folk tradition and Romantic history.
