Leon Trotsky was Lenin's right hand man. He is infamous for his armored train, which served as his home as he lead troops in the Civil War.

While Trotsky was at war, Joseph Stalin was in charge. He quickly eliminated all politicial rivals. Stalin's rule was considered even worse then the Tsars.

In 1928 Trotsky was exiled from Russia. In 1940, Stalin had him assasinated. Famously, he was killed with an ice pick, or rather its cousin, the ice axe.

Stalin died in 1953 and was replaced by Nikita Khrushchev.
