In The Crucible innocent people are accused of a crime without sufficient evidence. This is an injustice because these people are being tried, and murdered, for a crime they did not commit. In order to avoid being murdered, innocent people are also choosing to confess to witchcraft. Giving these people no other options is definitely an injustice. This song is about a modern day injustice. The singer feels that modern day rap lyrics are objectifying women and making them feel like property instead of people. Even though the song is about a different type of injustice it still focuses on a group of people who are being wronged.

In the beginning of the play Elizabeth Proctor is very cold to her husband and is still very hurt by the affair her husband had with Abigail. In Act 4, Elizabeth is pregnant with John's baby and is ready to move on as a family. When John is sentenced to be killed for witch craft Elizabeth tells him she wants him living. This shows she has forgiven him and is ready to start over, even if it means having him confess to a crime he did not commit. This song is about a woman who is ready to forgive, and to heal. Just like Elizabeth, she truly has come to a place where she is ready to move on from what this person did to her.
