Ebeneezer Scrooge is very greedy and hates Christmas. He treats everyone in the lower class very badly, including his employee Bob Crachit. but most of importantly, he loves money and hates Christmas.

Inciting incedent

scrooge gets a visit from his late business partner Jacob Marley. Jacob Marley tells him how he will be visited by three ghosts. he also tells him how the ghosts will change his ways. Scrooge is very scared and he is in disbelief that he is there.

Rising action 1

Marley leaves Scrooge and the clock strikes one. scrooge is then visited by the ghost of Christmas past. The ghost of Christmas past shows him how his past actions have affected him.

Quote page 64: what is the matter? Ask the spirit. Nothing, said Scrooge, nothing. There was a boy singing a Christmas Carol at my door last night. I should’ve given him something that’s all.

Climax

the final ghost visited Scrooge. the ghost showed him what would become if he didn’t change his ways. scrooge has changed and accepts Christmas.

Falling action

Scrooge wakes up on Christmas Day a whole new person after his visits with the ghosts. He wants to spread Christmas joy all around. Scrooge pays a child half a crown for getting him a turkey.

Resulution

scrooge spreads Christmas cheer. He is also very kind to the lower class. This shows how much he has changed since the beginning of the story and what the spirits have shown him.
