Direct impacts on Mangroves - Cutting e.g. for wood and charcoal.
Human trampling, disturbance, & collection - impacting tourism, landscape & wildlife.
Fishing in the area,

Indirect - Hydrological changes e.g. coastal roads and jetties.
Pollution - e.g. oil spills, solid waste (litter from land and sea)

Mangroves are found in the tropics are subtropics. This means the area is generally warm all round with hot, humid summers.
Australia has 11,500 km of mangroves. Primarily in Northern Australia. 1/3 of the area is privately owned and therefore protected. Education is an important way of demonstrating the ecological and environmental importance of mangroves. Threats include overfishing and pollution.

I think we all worked well as a team, Ollie was a good team leader; delegating tasks quickly and efficiently to get our work done as fast as possible. We met all the deadlines; being time efficient. This task was fun as well as informative.
