         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is located in Brussels and the <br>Voting age is 18 and in Austria is 16. the Electoral process- proportional representation. <br>The UK voted to leave eu on 23/6/16. The European parliament contains  751 members. The Eu based on rule of law-everyone must agree. And it was established to manage enconmic co-operation. The European Parliament was created on September 10th 1952. Here are some examples of how the European Parliament has done to benefit the UK: a cap on the amount of hours an employer can make you work, helping the people of Britain to avoid smoking, helping you make the right choices with your food, two year guarantees and 14 day returns policy for all products, keeping your air nice and fresh and safe. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>House of commons-  A parliament house<br>responsible for making laws. UK public elects 650 MPs to present the concerns of the public to the HOC, 226 members needed to win an election.  <br><br>House of lords- They run over new laws to ensure they are fair and will work. There are 675 members, they are not elected and come from many different backgrounds. The house of lords don't have the power to stop laws that the house of commons want but can delay it since they have to go through both houses before becoming acts.<br>The Monarch- the queen has a final say on whether a bill becomes a law, this is since she is head of state.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Welsh assembly government, established by the government of wales act 1998 after a welsh referendum. Deals with matters such as education, health, civil and criminal law housing . <br>Scottish parliament, established by the Scotland act 1998. The 129 elected representatives of the Scottish parliament. <br>Northern Ireland assembly, established by the Northern Ireland act 1998. Which was based on a referendum of the Irish agreement. The devolution of northern Ireland was made up of three categories: Transferred- powers given to others, Reserved- Can be transferred with community consent, Excepted-  elections, allies, trade routes and international relationships<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>HS- Abolished across England In march 2010 due to a spending review as it revealed it was using more money than saving.<br>GA-<br> The local Authorities took over in the same year (2010). There are 8 regional governments  and they all resemble the local authorities, they help voice the 8 regions. It costs a lot of money to support voices so by reducing them into smaller quantities it has helped save them money. They had 4 main roles/responsibilities. <br>1- Regional planning<br>2- Regional housing<br>3- Policy development<br>4- Accountability<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are two tiers within England-<br>County councils<br>District, borough or city councils. <br>District borough and it’s councils cover smaller areas and are responsible for services like rubbish collection, recycling, housing. <br>County councils cover education, transport, planning, fire and public safety. <br>In the Welsh councils, there are 730 community and councils in wales. Scottish local governmets. The government consists of 32 local authorities. Here are some things that Gloucestershires County Council has done to improve Gloucestershire:<br>Elmbridge Court Roundabout,  Cheltenham Transport Plan and Cindeford Northern Quarter Spine Road.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Ministry of Defence is lead by Michael Fallon and its important because it protects the country, such as our security and independence. their aim is to make sure the armed forces get their training, equipment and support that is needed for them to work. it is a department which is supported by 28 agencies and public bodies.&nbsp;<br>They are responsible for the British army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, they decide on budgets and policies for all the armed forces. this means they are able to influence the armed services and decide the conditions to equipment and locations of the service. They are also take on the responsibilities of providing intelligent strategies, defending the UK and its overseas territories and supporting emergency organisations for a time of crisis.&nbsp;<br>Their aims from 2015 to 2020 are to protect our people, protect global influence, promote our wealth and maintain a strategic base.</div>]]></description>

He is accountable for how the NHS operates, The care and quality in hospitals, patient safety, maternity care, NHS improvements, mental health, oversight of NHS delivery and performance. They are responsible for the NHS and health Public Sector which means that they help fund their resources equipment etc. The NHS needs a lot of support as they are a vital service which every citizen will use so they need to be looked after and kept up to standards. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

He is in charge of the justice system such as Prisons, Courts, Probation Services etc. They ensure that all sentences are served vans offenders become good citizens which follow the law. They are responsible for the police in the public services as they help put a stop to crime, help keep our citizens out of danger and to protect them. The Ministry of Justice is responsible for: courts, prisons, probation services, and attendance centres. Their main priorities are: to make their department simpler and more unified, they want britain to promote the rule of law, a modern courts justice system and a prison and probation service that reforms offenders.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chris Gayling is the secretary of the Ministry of Transport. He is responsible for the DVLA,MOTs, tax, insurance, improving bus services, making roads less congestive and polluted. They aim to build a safer more secure transport system. They also help with people who might have trouble with transport like people with disabilitys, since if someone is wheelchair bound they might struggle to get on a train or bus but since laws and legislations require all services to have disability access they can now use the services without hassle. A recent announcement has been made that they are going to give the lifeboat charities a "£1 million pound boost" to help out with search and rescue efforts improving the safety of the public </div>]]></description>
