Thousands have gotten sick and died, more were treated than those that died. Health officials created a vaccine in order to prevent any further spread. Since then, the government has set law and travel restrictions, enforcing those to wear a mask, and to be vaccinated. Although, there are people in the world who may have a reaction or a compromised immune system, restricting them from receiving a vaccine. Then there are those who just refuse to get one out of their will, which SHOULD be perfectly fine, but the government is making travel and being in public areas without a mask extremely difficult.
