Our club, ICE, stands for International Culture Experience and is responsible for international exchanges at Sangil Girls’ High School. Our school actively engages in exchange programs with schools from various countries, and ICE is the club that manages these activities. We focus on experiencing and learning about international cultures, as well as introducing and promoting our own culture abroad. Under the broad theme of cultural exchange, we also pay great attention to language acquisition and global issues. It is an honor to be able to exchange with Taipei Municipal Neihu High School through this opportunity.

ICE’s History and Recent Activities

ICE has a history of 13 years and has been involved in various international exchanges. In March of this year, students from Toho High School in Japan visited our school, where they attended classes with us, tried our school lunch, and spent the afternoon exploring Korea’s vibrant districts, experiencing Korean food and culture.

Beyond Exchanges: ICE’s Core Activities

In addition to international exchanges, ICE is involved in many other activities. For instance, one of our most important activities is publishing the official club magazine, Muse. In Muse, we include English articles that document our activities throughout the year. Also, after international exchanges, one of our club members’ favorite activities is participating in Model United Nations (MUN). Composed of students who are deeply interested in global issues, we hold debates in English, simulating the format of United Nations meetings, and nurture our dreams in the process.

ICE, A Club Growing Through Global Communication

ICE is a club that is growing through communication with the world through diverse experiences. We look forward to deepening our understanding of each other’s cultures through this exchange with Taipei Municipal Neihu High School, and we hope this will be the beginning of a meaningful and lasting connection between our two schools.

Here, a variety of elective subjects and career exploration programs are well established. Students can dive deeper into subjects that align with their future paths and actively participate in clubs that match their interests and aptitudes. The school features recently remodeled, clean classrooms, teachers’ offices, counseling rooms, and science labs.

Physical education takes place in a spacious gym and outdoor sports field, where students can enjoy activities like volleyball and badminton. After the fourth period, everyone eats lunch together in the cafeteria, and students can grab snacks at the school store too. These diverse spaces offer students precious memories and experiences.

There's also a school mascot, a dog named “Wol-i,” who brings joy to both students and teachers. The atmosphere at Sangil Girls’ High School is warm and student-centered, allowing everyone to adjust easily and fostering a friendly and hopeful environment. We hope this spirit of hope grows even more as we welcome you!

In school, I am assistant leader of our club. I belong to the school club named international cultural exchange, ICE. Our main activity is doing the cultural exchange with other schools. We also study global issues. Doing these things with our club members is so awesome. You guys will like everything of our club!

My mbti is INFP. Actually, almost no one belives it, I did it again. But, It's INFP again!

Speaking of my hobbies, I like the collaboration of bed and cellphone. Yeah, I mean lying down and looking at my phone. Since I'm usually busy, these moments have become really precious to me. I am classified as INTP-T in MBTI due to my personality, but E and I are almost half and half, so I have a complicated personality that sometimes I like to be alone in relationships with people, sometimes I like to hang out with people. I'm a type N, so I have a lot of imagination, and I come up with a variety of ideas in my head, and I use that imagination a lot in writing and creative activities.
