Because Dyland had a piece of medal stuck in his leg. When I read this chapter I was imagining it in my mind and I was picturing a piece of medal going one end and coming out on the other side of the leg. How this chapter was intense is because you can imagine how heavy  those pieces of rocks are and waiting and waiting for those pieces of the road just collapsing but they never did which makes you think... What if those pieces of the road actully did collapse! when I finished reading chapter 4 I realized that this chapter was not only intense but also gross medal through a leg how gross can this book get! When I read Savanah piece I also notice that they were trying to keep us in suspense. There is a lot of reasons why this chapter was intense because 1. Fiona and Joey were trying to find Dyland 2. Dyland had a piece of medal stuck in his leg 3. the gravel were tenting over him 4. nobody was helping him out of the gravel tent 5. I thought that Joey was going to fall inside the gravel tent when he looked inside to see what was attached to Dylands leg.
