Kennedy, was in a convertible car in Dealy Plaza around 12:30 PM with his wife and Governor Connally when the murderer, Lee Harvey Oswald, was on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building when he fired 3 shots from his Carcano Model 91/38 carbine at JFK. One shot struck JFK in the head, another into his body and a stray bullet struck Gov. Connally. At 1:00 PM, JFK was pronounced dead.
