Don't be shy to reach out to your colleagues here, if you need ideas.

Share one strategy, game or activity that you currently use in your classroom to help your students practice self-regulation. If you can, please share when and how often you use this activity and how the students respond.

Do: From the kit, read "On Monday When it Rained" to your students in a small/whole group multiple times.
Strategy for self reg

We use a daily check in on a feelings chart to encourage kids to be self-reflective and practice self-reg. They move their magnet from the classroom door to the bathroom door when they enter in the morning, and they place their name in the corresponding "zone" on the door (all magnetic). As their feelings change throughout the day they're invited to move their magnet. It helps honour the feelings we bring with us to the classroom, the emotional state of ourselves and of others, and physically shows that feelings are important in our room. I like the flexibility of magnets so that we can demonstrate that "feelings change". It's also the way I do my attendance!
