https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3VFPNPY]]> 2018-01-05 10:21:21 UTC https://padlet.com/j_turrell_16/7pkrxhc6hwg9/wish/218909869 Summary of research j_turrell_16 https://padlet.com/j_turrell_16/7pkrxhc6hwg9/wish/243940277 For task 1 I carried out 2 different types of primary research; the first was in the form of a Vox pop, this meant I had to go and ask random people questions about music videos and if they still think they are relevant and their opinions on music videos. I got 3 different opinions about what people think of music videos. I then created a survey for my second form of primary research. for my survey the majority of people who took part were 15 - 19 and they were mostly female. 84 percent of people thought music videos were still relevant and 96 percent of the people thought all music videos have meanings. For my secondary research I completed an analysis of 2 music videos from different years and genres, the first was Elvis Presley - Jailhouse rock and the other was  Whitney Houston - I wanna dance with somebody.

In my opinion these methods of research worked well and i would use these methods again, however, i faced some issues with the vox pops as i tried to film people, but most people don't like being filmed. so i had to compromise and recorded audio instead of video. I also had issues with time, i wanted to do more vox pops however i didn't have enough time to do more that what i had.
