New discoveries in the "Sarayini" underground city in the Sarayönü district of Konya, dating back to the Roman period, reveal that the ancient place was a set of structures that offered a high comfort area and wide facilities compared to its period. The history of the place, which has water wells, stoves, chimneys, oil lamps for lighting, cellars and ventilation holes in room-like living spaces, is dated to the 8th century, according to the first materials obtained. It is estimated that it belongs to the Byzantine period.:)
