This is called a pillow book. It is a collection of notebooks,notes which have been saved and written for a long period of time. Also it would have many stories in the book from years past. so then when younger people would read it they can think about someone long before my time written in this same book.

This is a hand scroll. it is hard to read because it is in Japan. but you can look at the pictures on it and all of the writing.

Zen is an element of religion for buddhism. and it found its name meditate. Zen is very peaceful and quiet. and that's where people would mediature. you can also have a zen room like having it white with plants. in the picture above show a quiet place where someone is sitting with a candle in the middle.

This is how they screen print. They used a wood block and placed it where they wanted it. after that, they put on ink and let it dry. that's how they made all of their stuff with a little of design, or color.
