<title>1. I [...] asked him what was on the cassette tapes. &quot;Only the greatest music ever recorded, my friend,&quot; Amolak replied. &quot; You woke up a boy and tonight you will go to sleep a man.&quot;</title>

<title>2. The first thing that struck me was his voice; I had been expecting music and singing but Bruce Springsteen was not singing, he was just talking with an acoustic guitar playing in the background. &quot; When I was growing up,&quot; he was saying, &quot;me and my dad would go at it all the time, over almost anything.&quot; I was confused. This was not a song, it was a spoken word introduction to a song; it was a man recalling his childhood and his relationship with his father.</title>

<title>3. Having stumbled in the dark for so long, on that September night I was blinded by the light. Everything significant that I did or achieved in my life in the years that followed had its roots in the emotions I experienced that evening. That night Bruce Springsteen changed my life.</title>

<title>4. &quot; The thing about Bruce,&quot; Amolak said, &quot;is that it&#39;s like he knows everything you&#39;ve ever felt, everything you&#39;ve ever wanted and he can describe it better than you. [...] [T]here isn&#39;t a situation you will ever go through that Bruce will not have a song for.&quot;</title>

<title>5. Springsteen had just finished singing &#39;Badlands&#39; when re requested an acoustic guitar and told the audience: &#39; a fella came up to me and asked for this song. I don&#39;t know if he&#39;s out there tonight, but if he is, this is for you.&#39; [...] I doubled up, buried my face in my hands and wept. [...] I never imagined I would hear it sung acoustically. The fact that Springsteen had remembered my request and then decided to actually listen to my suggestion was overwhelming.</title>
