A pediatrician a doctor for newborns, kids, and adolescents. Basically, they care for anyone less than 21 years of age. Pediatricians make parents schedule yearly check ups for their kids to check and maintain the health of their kids. Also, they provide medication for kids that are sick and have an infection.

I am interested in this field because I like learning about biology and how the human body works. Also, I like working with kids. I don't personally know anyone that is a pediatrician, but my pediatrician is a reason why I want to become one.

Famous Chemist

Alexander Fleming is a famous chemist who discovered Penicillin. He found out that when growing Penicillium rubens, it creates a product that can be used to kill bacteria, thus creating the first antibiotic. This finding contributed to my career because without antibiotics, many kids could die because their immune system would not be strong enough to kill off extreme cases of infection.

- Pre-Med Requirements in Biology, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry,Chemistry, Physics, and English.
- During this time, a student would have to take the MCAT test or the Medical College Admission Test to get into Med School
4 Years of Med School (M.D)
3 Years of Internship/Residency
- During Residency, a potential pediatrician would have to take the USMLE exam, which stands for United States Medical Licensing Exam. Then they would have to apply to the state for a state medical license.

One thing that I anticipate will change between now and when I begin my career is that more cures for many diseases that kids have will be found.
