This is our first session. First and foremost, as a facilitator, I started the session with Al-Fatihah and explain to them two vital points :

1. What Is Usrah?
Usrah is an arabic word literally means family. This group activity has been started by Imam Hassan Al-Banna as an initiative to strengthen the bond among the muslims. In our context, it is not like a lecture but just a sharing session. During the session, all the members are allowed to share, discuss and ask anything regarding a particular topic.

2. Pillars of Usrah
Taaruf
Tafahum
Takaful
Hence, in this group, we must know each other so that we can understand more and able to help each other, Insya-Allah.

Then, before ending the session, I explained about the Role Play 1 and divided them into groups.

We held the duo sharing session. Each duo discussed three different topics.

Topic 1 - Brother Iman & Brother Zarir
Ikhtilat
Literally means mix. Technically means miz between the ajnabi or man and woman who is not considered as mahram.
There are a few prohibitions:
#Lower your gaze
#Do not touch
#Do not speak with soft voice
#Do not khalwat
#Protect the aurah
وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الزِّنَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاء سَبِيلاً
"Do not apporach adultery"

Topic 2 - Brother Firdaus & Brother Hafiz Lowie
Lessons from Surah Al-Rahman
This 55th surah was revealed in Mecca with 78 verses. It tells us about the characteristics of Allah that is the most caring and loving. If we want to be loved by Allah, we must read this surah consistently.
LESSONS:
#Quran is the code of life or a complete guidance
#Show the amazing power of Allah that is able to control the movement of the sun and the moon (55:17)
#We must be grateful with the nikmah such as food. Even we are a sinful person, Allah still give us opportunity to eat, drink, rest, breath and so on.
#The concept of Iman. Brother Hafiz told a story about an atheist that was struggling to find the most suitable religion for him but he do not want Islam. One day, when he made a research, the ayat فَبِأَيِّ آَلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ was suddenly opened then he felt that Islam shows the best value.

Topic 3 - Brother Huezaimie & Brother Aiman
Cukuplah Kematian Sebagai Pengajaran
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ
"every soul will taste death"
Imam Al-Ghazali said that the nearest thing with us is death. Rasulullah also explained that the cleverest person is the person that remember the death but the people who are always defeat with the lust are the people who have weak Iman. One of the benefit if we always be mindful with death is we will increase the quality of our ibadah. This world is just temporary so as a student, if we want to strive for Islam, we need to study with the full of determination.
Preparations - spread beneficial knowledge, do sadaqah jariah and do good to others so they will pray for us continously.

This is our last session. We have discussed 3 topics.

Topic 1 - Brother Zamir, Brother Asri, Brother Afif, Brother Nizar
APPRECIATION FOR THE NATURE & SUSTAINIBILITY IN ISLAM
~ Anas also reported that the Prophet said,

“If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (sadaqah) for him.” (Bukhari)

~ Mu`adh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet warned, “ Beware of the three acts that cause you to be cursed: relieving yourselves in shaded places (that people utilize), in a walkway or in a watering place. ”
~ Surah Al-Rum verse 41 :
"Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people"
So how to protect nature? We cannot cause a disaster and we must realize that we are living with other creatures, hence we should understand that we need each other. Then, we must feel greatful for what Allah have gave to us, so do not cause pollution to our earth.

Topic 2 - Brother Harith & Brother Haiqal
THE CONCEPT OF AL-IHSAN
Derived from the word 'hasana' and literally defined as doing good. There are two divisions, ihsan in worshipping Allah and ihsan with the other creatures.
1. أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ كَأَنَّكَ تَرَاهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ
“Excellence is to worship Allah as if you see Him, for if you do not see Him, He surely sees you.”
Always imagine the existence of Allah so we can enhance the quality of our Ibadah.
2. Always do good to other creatures either they are mindful or not. To illustrate, to the human, always help each other with sadaqah and to the animals, give food, drink and comfortable shelter. If we want to slaughter it, slaughter in the best way.

Topic 3 - Brother Ammar, Brother Ahmad Irfan, Brother Irfan Firdaus

THE STORIES OF 3 COMPANIONS AND THE LESSONS
1. Julaibib RA (A companion that is not tall and handsome and always received mistreatment from the community but he always listened to Rasulullah's words. After his marriage, he went to the battlefield and syahid. Rasulullah was very sad and said that Julaibib is a part of him. The lessons is, Allah do not even care about our appearance but Allah will evaluate our piety.)
2. Abu Dujanah (He is an honest companion that lived in poverty. He will go back early when he prayed at the mosque because he wanted to collect the dates that were falling in front of his house that was owned by his neighbour so that his son will not eat it. However, one day, his son ate the dates and Abu Dujanah took it out from his son's mouth. The next day, suddenly the tree itself was in front of his house eventhough he did not even planted it. That is how Allah helps the people who is honest and kind.)
3. Talhah bin Ubaidillah (He was a knight that has a high sense of loyalty to Rasulullah. In a war, he got more that 70 injuries on his body because he wanted to protect Rasulullah. Thus, he was regarded as a living syahid on the earth.)

HIKMAH BEHIND THE IBADAH <3

During this session, we learned a lot of hikmah from performing ibadah. I would like to share a few interesting and crucial points that I got:

1. When we are performing solah five times daily, we will get benefit not just from one aspect. First of all, we are able to get a good health as solah requires a lot of movements that will make us arrange our muscles in the best manner, smoothing the flow of the blood, calming our heart from the hardship of life and many more. On the other hand, solah gives benefit to our society. At the very first place it is able to encourage us to do good and put aside the bad values that will lead to the sinful actions, indeed if we performed in in congregation, we can strengthen the bond of the society.

2. Second of all, the ibadah that involves our property such as Zakat and Sadaqah. These initiatives will help our Islam society economically because giving alms can make the gap between the rich and poor people smaller. The givers also will never be stingy, arrogant and boastful and so do the receivers, they will never feel envious. In fact, Allah and His Prophet PBUH promised us that if we give more, our property will never be decreased but will get increasing, with the permission and power of Allah.

3. Pilgrimage also portrays that equality is one of the vital point that we need to stick of. Every single human will use white cloth, do same things and no excuse as all people are just same and never will be distinguished according to their luxurious, title and appearance.

As conclusions, we must do our level best in whatever we are doing. And perform Ibadah as Allah sees you and not to satisfy the human. Let's us strive for excellence for the sake of the happiness in this world and the hereafter! #tintajumaat

THE MORAL VALUES FROM FASTING <3

Based on a research by USA scientists, 2 over 7 or fasting 2 days a week which has been practised by the Prophet is a very good initiative to remain our health condition as we are able to rest the organs from working and processing to digest the big amount of food that we consume.

From the aspect of spiritual and moral, fasting teaches us to always be humble and never be boastful. We are not going to feel the greediness in chasing after the wealth, indeed practising the concept of wasatiyyah or modesty in our life is the best way as we can see, how the poor people are able to survive without so much food.

A few members of usrah also participate in discussing this topic. There was also a point that talked about how fasting able to train our 'hawa nafsu'. Namely during Ramadhan we must teach ourselves to act in the best manner, no eating, no drinking and in the same time always take care of the quality of our fasting. When we already reached the end of the Ramadhan, these values must be implimented so that we can be a good slave of Allah. Always choose the best path ;))
