The first being that federal educational policies are built upon age-based grade level. So students are boxed into learning at a certain level based on their age, rather than their ability. This can leave many gifted and talented students bored in class and wastes teacher resources.

These studies suggest that accelerated learning can have benefits that reach far beyond school years as students who participated in accelerated learning were found to ear more money in adulthood compared to children who did not participate in accelerated learning.
