I added this video because it simply describes the process of photosynthesis. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best. This video explains photosynthesis so easily my second grader could understand it. It's kind of school house rockish.

Unit 4: World Biome In Most Danger of Ecological Change. The Cost of "Saving the Trees"

Of course we should be concerned with the preservation of endangered species, and of course we should not destroy forests for profit. However, the literal firestorm that has resulted because of the intense logging restrictions in the Pacific Northwest should have been foreseeable. Due to regulations, forests are overgrown, putting them more at risk to be casualties of wildfires. It has been proven that "thinning" a forest is actually healthy for it. If some people only exercised their mind as much as they did their bleeding heart, perhaps common sense would prevail, and disasters like these could be avoided. The Pacific Northwest is clearly a biome that is in great danger of a radical transformation that no one wants to see, and the blame rests evenly on the environmental lobbyists who prompted legislators to get happy with the pen, and the careless greed of the construction companies, that gave them a reason to go crazy in the first place. I wonder how the spotted owl is going to do when the whole place is burnt to the ground. As in all things moderation is key, and finding middle ground is beneficial for everyone, balance is always necessary.
http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2017/04/save-forests-cut-some-trees-down-scientists-say

The main road block on this path has been the United States, however, we are becoming more and more socialist and globalist. If this trend goes unchecked, the results are catastrophic. The world is a better place because of the rise of the U.S., subjecting ourselves to a globalist agenda is the antithesis of what is good for both us, and the rest of the world. It is impossible yo lead from the back. There are already too many regulations on trade, too many taxes, too many laws, but who are they benefiting? The people of the world, or those of the ruling class
