This course taught me a lot of things when it comes to writing and especially checking if the source are credible. Also, it made learn about authorship, strategies for constructing essays, share ideas about something we read from different sources, and knowing how to interpret informations and arguments.

REFLECT AUTHORSHIP

for authorship, discussions in class made me learn a lot as we did some readings that are about language like readings on linguistic justice. I learned that there's nothing wrong with using your own language. In my case, I am always conscious and not confident to write because I am afraid to be judged by how I write my essays. This class made me feel at ease and worry less about English rules as long as readers can easily understand my pov. One example of my works is my writing project 1 and 3. I am aware that there are parts of my essay that may be constructed in wrong grammar but I am happy that my readers understand my point.

REFLECT ON WRITING PROCESS

This course helped me to be a more analytical thinker because I learned how to organize my thoughts and put them in my outlines, identifying what kind of writing strategies I should use that will fit my topic. Also, I learned how to provide feedback to my peers without making them feel bad and also to give praise for their efforts. This is definitely visible in my writing projects three and two.

REFLECT ON CRITICAL THINKING AND READING

For my critical thinking and reading, I learned how to differentiate between factual and opinion statements. Factual statements provide evidence and other sources to support their claim whereas opinions are likely to state the idea without referencing a source. I also learned how to analyze the whole idea of particular texts which will be useful for me in the future. This is visible in my informative synthesis because as I gathered my sources, I read my sources thoroughly in order to analyze how will I connect each sources.

REFLECT INFORMATION LITERACY

This course helped me to identify if the source is credible or not by examining the CRAAP test. Also, even though I had experience in writing APA paper, This course helped me to recall everything that I learned before about APA citing. Lastly, I learned how to coordinate my ideas with the sources that I found in order to support my claim. I think that this learning outcome is observable in my writing project 2 because we looked for different sources to support our arguments for writing project 3 and it will help us to decide whether we should include the source or not.

REFLECT ON RHETORICAL KNOWLEDGE

For rhetorical knowledge, I noticed that I improved a lot in this class both in writing and my critical thinking. As of now, I am in the process of finishing my math final project that looks like a research and data gathering. Everything I learned in this class were applied on my math project like building an introduction, looking for a credible source, and synthesizing datas. For this class, I would say that RRL#3-9 are my examples to show my rhetorical knowledge :D

Hello Professor! I just wanted to take this space as an opportunity to thank you for everything you've done for our class, for making sure that we are learning, and for being a considerate professor. Even though I always submit my works in advance or on time, I really appreciate how you always consider the extension for any submissions and I think you're amazing because I can feel that you believe in us that "we can do it" whatever situations we might be dealing outside the classroom. :D Personally, this class helped me a lot in my other courses too! You're one of the teachers in my whole life who make me feel appreciated by the effort I put into my classes. Thank you for your motivating comments for each output we made (I will miss this!), it helped me to boost my confidence in writing and I really felt that I have a strong support system because you always make sure that we have as much as many resources we need to understand the prompt of our lesson or outputs.
