Hi Thea and Anne... in a bid to understand the document - GIS PPS - SHU Project (under Tier 1 project output), I would want to ask if from the imagery attached here, would you say it looks like what you wanted or not? Also, for other pitches as contained in the PPS documents, we could replicate this on Google Earth while we make a shapefile from 'em... [Pls do revert as soon as you can so we can proceed to have other fields' boundary defined.] Thanks

Use of Google

Could all the data we are sharing as part of this project please stay within ESRI ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro or another offline GIS tool like QGIS.

We don't want the data uploading into Google Maps / Google Earth as there are licensing issues (and potential security issues) with those platforms for spatial SCC data.

Datasets such as the LLPG and MasterMap need to be secured and not published to the internet in any way.

We may need the SHU ArcGIS Online organisational URL to properly set up a working collaboration but for now I've added the students to the project group within our AGOL organisation on an individual basis, it will likely be view only though, but we can test that.

Example of Playing Field site Boundary

This is an example of the kind of boundary polygon we would be looking for. This is a playing field from the Parks and Countryside Service Sites layer, it's been snapped to OS MasterMap linework using Trace or Copy and Paste so that no matter how closely you zoom in the line matches the OS basemap below. We generally digitise at scales below 1:800 so that we create an accurate polygon.

Project Proposal Submission

Hi all.

Olu, thank you for sending this through to Anne earlier this week.

Anne and I have discussed this and we agree that we need to see a little more from the proposal to feel confident moving onto the next step of this project.

The meeting notes from the 26.10.2023 outline that we would like to see a clear breakdown of tasks/outputs associated with each of the proposed phases of the project. Along with this, we need to know which individuals will be undertaking which areas of work. The more detail you can add the better so we are able to track progress and address queries/concerns as early as possible.

In order to progress in a timely manner, we will need this to be submitted to both Anne and myself by 12pm Wednesday 8th December.
