At first I thought that writing essays or texts about myself would not bring me any personal benefit. But I was very wrong. Actually, this class has taught me a lot about myself and my taste in writing. All the essays I have created, from the first draft to the final reflection of the course have given me great pleasure and made my love for writing blossom. I wrote each text with passion and dedication, wanting to convey my emotions onto paper, and they are connected in a way that makes each one feel like it was written by me. It has my mark so to speak. The more I wrote, the more I realized that I not only completed assignments, but also improved and came up with new ways of writing for myself. I had a radical change in my thinking about writing. Not only writing, but also reviewing my writings. Every time I reread my work, I realized that there were things I needed to improve, whether it was fluency, coherence, vocabulary, etc. This didn't bother me, but rather drove me to want to be better at this activity. These papers are and always will be the papers that changed my perspective, and the ones that catapulted me to the top. The change I experienced during this course was not only technical, but also emotional. Writing became a way of expressing myself, and each piece reflected a deeper understanding of myself. I realized that writing is not only about putting words on paper, but also about conveying meaning, sharing experiences and connecting with others through thoughts and feelings. The English 1301 course awakened in me a passion for writing that I never knew I had, and now I see writing as an essential skill for personal and academic success.
