If I Decide to Stay by Gayle Forman has been a novel that has won my heart. A very hard story that makes us reflect on how short life is and shows us that sometimes it forces us to make decisions that will change everything.
The story begins when Mia suffers a car accident in which she was traveling with her family and falls into a coma. After the accident, she slips from her body and will tell us everything, her condition, that of her family,... We will live with her 24 hours in the hospital where very soon she will understand that everything depends on her: She will decide if she wants to leave, since she has lost too much in that accident. Or on the contrary if you decide to stay, because you still have things to fight for.

The knight in the rusty armor

The Knight in Rusty Armor is not a book...it is an experience that expands our minds, touches our hearts and feeds our souls. His profound ethical teachings are of such simplicity and humility that they are naturally internalized and the richness of his prose fills us with beauty. The protagonist, a knight dazzled by the brilliance of his own armor, despite being good, generous and loving, fails to fully understand and value what he has, "inadvertently" neglecting the things and people around him. His armor rusts away until it stops shining, and before he realizes it, he can no longer take it off. Prisoner of himself, he then embarks on a journey at the end of which, thanks to the help of various characters, he manages to get rid of the armor that has made it impossible for him to open up to the world. This book teaches us, with a subtle sense of humor, that we must free ourselves of the barriers that prevent us from knowing and loving ourselves in order to be able to give and receive love in abundance.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

At the beginning of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, baby Harry has been orphaned, and some peculiar characters (Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall transformed into a cat, and Hagrid, who comes flying on a motorcycle) find him a new home. For almost ten years, Harry will lead a horrible life with his horrible and materialistic uncles and cousin.

Here Rowling focuses on making fun of relatives, who are so ridiculous (and so normal) that you end up laughing, despite how badly they treat Harry. What I like most about this part, and I think it's great, is the arrival of letters addressed to the boy, determined to reach their destination, and the absurd measures that the guys take to avoid it.

Before going to Hogwarts, Harry has to buy school supplies (wands and others) and get money, and for this he gets into a secret passageway in London with Hagrid, where he discovers a very strange world of wizards and wonderful beings.

“Journey to the Center of the Earth”, by Julio Verne, is an excellent story that takes place in Hamburg, Iceland, Italy, and in the center of the Earth. This fascinating book is about the expedition of Professor Lidenbrock, his nephew Axel and a guide named Hans, into the interior of the Earth.

The book is full of thrilling moments, surprising events and unforeseen misfortunes, while the author skillfully mixes fact with fiction. However, the book "Journey to the Center of the Earth" makes all those dreams of humanity come true, of completely touring the planet to confirm or discard the geological thesis that affirm, on the one hand, that the Earth has a core of material incandescent and, on the other hand, that the Earth is a hollow sphere and that life also beats in that space.

This is the story of children and grown-ups, of the vast world that surrounds us, of the small worlds in which we sometimes land. An ode to life, a critique of those things that concern us so much and that limit us so much when we reach adulthood. It is the world seen from the eyes of a child, the one we are or the one we were, also the one we will always be inside.

A catalog of inspiring phrases, beautiful metaphors and surreal scenes in which varied and capital universal themes such as friendship, love, innocence, responsibility or the relationship between human beings and nature take place. A story as endearing as it is rich in wisdom, suitable for all ages and that never expires or goes out of style. A classic with all the letters that is capable of caressing our soul.
