I'd simply like to be known as a good teacher in the fullest meaning of the word.

My relationship with my teachers throughout most of my studies was very positive across different stages, and perhaps that had an influence, even though I never dreamed of becoming a teacher myself, despite my deep appreciation for the profession. It is remarkable to see the positive impact on students’ academic level or learning, or when you positively shape their personalities and thinking. That impact is truly profound.

My family have always supported me and are proud of me.

My passion for developing myself is the primary motivation.

I am Dalia Zakaria. I have been teaching English for 14 years. I am a graduate of Ain Shams University.

I'd call myself an autonomous learner who seeks autonomously for professional development opportunities. Hence, I did not seize learning after graduation in order to sharpen my teaching skills with methodological-based postgraduate studies such as CELTA, teaching Diplomas, M. Ed.

This is wouldn't have been occurred without inspiring people surrounding me, including Parents, pals, schoolteachers, spouse, colleagues, and HODs across my journey.

My name is Wafaa Mohamed, and I am an English language teacher . From the very beginning of my career, I have believed that teaching is not merely a profession but a responsibility that carries the power to shape minds, values, and futures. This belief has guided my professional choices and continues to motivate me to develop myself both academically and practically.

Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of different ages and proficiency levels. These experiences have helped me develop flexibility, patience, and a learner-centred approach in the classroom. . I am particularly interested in communicative teaching methods, active learning strategies, and the integration of real-life contexts into language instruction to make learning more meaningful and engaging.

Several professional events have played a significant role in shaping my teaching philosophy, most notably my regular attendance at the NILE TESOL conferences. Participating in NILE TESOL every year has been a major source of inspiration for me. These events have exposed me to current trends in English language teaching, innovative classroom practices, and the experiences of educators from diverse educational contexts. The workshops, keynote sessions, and professional discussions have encouraged me to reflect critically on my own teaching practices and to continuously seek improvement. Most importantly, they have reinforced my belief in lifelong learning as an essential quality for any successful teacher.

Looking ahead, my dream as a teacher is to become not only an effective classroom practitioner but also a positive influence within the wider educational community. I aspire to develop my professional qualifications further, contribute to teacher training programmes, and share my experiences with other educators. I hope to inspire my students to become confident, independent learners who can use English as a tool for communication, critical thinking, and personal development. Ultimately, my goal is to leave a lasting impact by helping learners realise their potential and by promoting a culture of professional growth and collaboration among teachers.
