I live in the city of Zipaquirá but I born in Bogotá, I live close to the rural part of the city, it is a very calm and peaceful place, I live here since I remember so one part of my heart belongs to this place. I live with mi parents and my pet, my mom, she’s name is Graciela, my dad, he’s name is Vicente and my pet, she’s Jodie a beautiful dog.

 

My daily routine is: first I wake up at 7 am, at 7:10 am I eat my breakfast, at 7:40 am I take a shower to work at 8:00 am (I work from home), in the work I have two hours for lunch from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, but from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm I have lunch and from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm I play video games. After that, my work ends at 6:00 pm, after the work, I rest a bit until it is time for dinner, that is at 7:00 pm, after the dinner I review thing from work or study, if I don´t have many pending I play with my friends. The time I go to sleep is 11:00 pm. That’s my weekday routine, but in the weekends, I focus in the university and study English and the time that I dedicate to my family is enough since I work and study from home.  

 

My name is Sergio Cortes. I am single. I am from the city of Zipaquira and I am 20 years old. I work as a systems engineer and I am also studying at UNAD. I live in Zipaquira and in my free time, I often play video games.

There are many interesting places to visit in Zipaquira. One of the most famous is the Catedral de Sal, which is an underground church built in an old salt mine. Another popular attraction is the Parque Jaime Duque, which is a theme park with many rides and exhibits. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the Laguna de Guatavita and the Casa Museo Quevedo Zornoza, both of which offer a glimpse into the region's history and culture.

- What is the typical food in your city?

The typical food in Zipaquira is ajiaco, a hearty soup.

- What are the main ingredients of the typical food?

Ajiaco is prepared with chicken, potatoes, corn, guascas, and other vegetables.

- What are the main celebrations in your city/town?

The main celebrations in Zipaquira are the Festival de la Sal, which celebrates the city's mining heritage, and the Feria de las Flores, which is a flower festival that takes place in August.

- What do people do in those celebrations?

During the Festival de la Sal, people typically participate in parades, music and dance performances, and other cultural events. During the Feria de las Flores, visitors can enjoy flower exhibitions, food and drink vendors, and concerts.

In Zipaquira, visitors can explore the Catedral de Sal, ride attractions at the Parque Jaime Duque, hike or go horseback riding in the nearby mountains, and enjoy the local cuisine and culture.
