The reason why I created this association was because of an event I experienced. On February 2, 2023 I had broken my arm in a fall and my husband was rushing me to the hospital. Well a police officer had pulled us over and forcefully shoved my husband out of the car and held him at gunpoint. We were constantly trying to plead with the officer to say we were only speeding because I had broken my arm and I was in excruciating pain. He would not budge in his opinion and instead called for more backup and taunting my husband while he was still held at gunpoint. After two hours, we finally were able to go to the hospital with a police escort. This was completely unnecessary police force and they used their power for their fun instead of safety. I was lucky that this case was not as bad as others I have heard. So since August of 2024, this organization has been up and running with officials standing behind me and supporting me.
