I gained knowledge and understood the development of different ages. Knowing how kids develop, and what they're capable of doing and learning at each stage. This would help me plan activities that make sense for each age group I would work with. Secondly, I gained some knowledge in planning stimulating educational activities for the childrens which is the core of the program. This will assist me as an ECE by designing activities that match each stage of development and help students learn new skills. Another, significant knowledge I have gained in the area of child development is creating a safe learning environment. Making sure that what items should be kept out of children's reach and protect little ones from hazards. Safety is one priority in every ECE classroom. Building trust with young childrens is very important in this curriculum. Parents and staff would like to see that children like and trust ECE’s in a classroom. Lastly, Helping kids work in teams is very important so children can develop patients and respect each other’s needs. Helping kids gain independence and confidence. From helping a child learn how to zip their coat, tie their shoes and use the washroom by themselves.

These goals helped me contribute to me becoming more ready for the field Early Childhood Education since I learned more in classes which helped me develop knowledge about the ece courses. Never missing a zoom class was very important because the professor taught a lot in the classes and went over the course work that will be taught each week. To be successful in ECE good grades is recommended and my goal was to pass with high grades and not fail so I won’t waste any years of my future.

How have you begun to demonstrate the qualities of a global citizen this semester? fali90 https://padlet.com/fali90/7oapi0u6x5a4v2ux/wish/992097328 I believe that my role and responsibility as a global citizen is to respect each other’s beliefs, responsible for one's decisions, actions and setting a good example to others. By respecting others and their beliefs is an important factor because respecting everyone helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. By respecting one another builds relationships, feelings, trusts, safety, and well-being. Responsible for one’s decisions by refusing to take anything personal, feeling calm and confident. I have begun to demonstrate the qualities of a global citizen this semester by making sure that I respect everyone for who they are and setting good examples to others. In this semester there were many different skin colours in the class and we all respect other beliefs and culture making sure that we welcome everyone for who they are. Being honest with the teacher and the class made me feel like a good global citizen this semester by contracting professors if I need help with any assignments I contact them by email and not hiding from them and get an F. This helped me a lot and gained more confidence to email them since I was not like this in highschool.
