In the beginning, the first automobiles were called "horseless carriages". And when these motorcars were made, most of them broke down often and the cars were extremely expensive and few people could buy them. Then, came a new type of car, The Model T. these cars were less expensive and more affordable for people and because of this, people built gas stations for these new cars.

The Model T helped change transportation by being the first carriage with an electric motor there was almost no reason to have interstate highways before the Model T. The Model T wasn't as expensive as other cars this led to gas stations being built. In 1916 the congress passed the Federal aid road act which made funds available for states to build interstate highways. Route 66 connected tiny towns to big cities from Chicago to L.A. Highways are becoming bigger and cars are becoming faster as they go by. This shows that the Model T helped change transportation by being less expensive after this that led to more interstate highways being built after that there were more gas stations being built by the years. In summary the Model T changed transportation by being the first carriage to have an electric motor very few people could get the Model T in the beginning years of the Model T they were called horseless carriages after that more people wanted to explore America the 1930s trucks started transporting items on Route 66 highways are starting to become bigger and faster with the cars.

The model T helped change transportation by allowing people to explore and travel america and other places around the globe.

The reason me and my group think this is because of the evidence the other groups shared. For example group 3 stated because of the model T people built gas stations and highways for the model T. To explain why we think this is because of the evidence the other groups shared in the padlet and came to our answer. To sum up we believe that the model T helped change transportation by allowing people to explore and travel america and other places around the globe.

-Victoria,Luis,Anthony,Gustavo and Angel

The Model T changed transportation by making people want to travel more but they needed better roads so they made funds available to help states build two-lane inter state highways. The model T was called the horseless carriage because it was the first carriage that uses an electric motor. The model T only had 144 miles of paved roads. But the model T broke down often easily. They also thought it was expensive for $900 and $800 dollars. Route 66 connected to small towns and big cities. Route 66 does not have much left but there is still ways to go there. Now highways are bigger and faster.
