The reason for this motive is the abuse that his mother and him had to endure from his father. During the sports festival in season one, deku (isuku midoria) who is the main character, tells shoto during their match against each other that the fire quirk he possesses is his and not his fathers. Shoto then ends up winning the match and using his fire the rest of his matches until the end. He also has a sense of humor that isn't normal but is great because it is never meant to hurt anyone. He is kind to his classmates, and is respectful to his teachers and classmates. I think the reason for him being respectful and kind is because he does not want to end up like his father. Honestly, if he was real he would be an amazing, wholesome person.
