For the first week, we had "ta'aruf" session between usrah members. We get to know each other's name, their background and many more! And we had discussed 2 topics which is :

1) Adab in seeking knowledge.

2) Al-Quran as the book of guidance.

ADAB IN SEEKING KNOWLEDGE

1) Sincerity

As we know, sincerity is very important in seeking knowledge with the intention of learning for the sake of Allah. We should not seek knowledge solely for worldly gains.

"Whoever seeks knowledge that should be for the sake of Allah, but he seeks it only to gain worldly benefits, then on the Day of Judgment, he will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."

-Hadith narrated by Ibn Majah

2) Respecting and honouring the teachers

Not only teachers, but we must respect the people who teach us and give us knowledge even she is our friend! There are a lot of ways to respect them, such as speaking kindly, listen to their advice, thank them and pray for them.

3) Be humble

We should always remain humble in seeking knowledge when we achieve something. We should not be arrogant with the successes and knowledge that we have, as all the knowledge is a gift from Allah.

AL-QURAN AS THE BOOK OF GUIDANCE

As a Muslim, we are obligated to refer to the Quran and as-Sunnah in all aspects as a guidance. In surah Ibrahim verse 1, Allah says that the Quran contain information about every aspect of life of mankind.

Suggestion to improve :

In my opinion, maybe we can do some fun activities such as story telling about Prophets and the islamic golden age!

For the third week, we learned about the pillars of Iman. We also watched a youtube video about angels to gain more knowledge and it's so intersting.

1) Belief in Allah

-Believe in Allah is the most important thing to all muslims.

-It's divided to three definition which are:

~Rububiyah : Rab or God, He is the one who creates, owns ,the giver of life, the creator of death and so on.

~Uluhiyah : Worship Allah the only god.

~Asmau'l Husna : Allah has the glorious names which is The 99 names of Allah such as Al-Malik that means The King and many more.

2) Belief in The Angels.

Allah created angels because He is Al-Malik (The King).

- Allah wants to teach us to live systematically and to cooperate.

- There are many angels that we do not know about.

- For example, the angel Raqib Atid, that's just a name for the task. In reality, there are many angels assigned under that role.

- Angels have shifts, specifically at dawn and at afternoon prayer.

3) Belief in Revealed Scriptures.

-There are four books that Allah revealed to his prophets through Angel Jibril.

-The Tawrat ,Zabur, Injil and Quran are the 4 holy books.

-Among the advantages of the Quran are :

~It is the greatest miracle of Prophet Muhammad

 ~The primary guide for Muslims

~The Holy Quran serves as a remedy.

Suggestion to improve:

I think everything is perfectly fine but maybe we can do some sharing session.

Ihsan and Eschatology.

Eschatology refers to the Day of Resurrection or the Day of Judgment. Ihsan, on the other hand, is mentioned 211 times in the Quran. To achieve Ihsan, we must become a Muhsin. Some characteristics of a Muhsin include doing good for others, doing the best good or striving with full effort, and finally, doing it for the sake of Allah, without expecting human rewards. There are three prophets whose stories can be associated with these characteristics of a Muhsin. These include the stories of Prophet Yusuf, Prophet Ibrahim, and Prophet Nuh. Prophet Nuh preached diligently for 950 years, and he also built a ship at Allah's command for his followers. In conclusion, we must do good to seek Allah's pleasure in the afterlife.

Suggestion to improve:

We can play some games.

For the sixth week, we have learned about respect towards parents. There is a story of a prophet that can be related to this topic, which is Prophet Ibrahim. One example is that Prophet Ibrahim never spoke harshly and always spoke kindly, even though his father worshipped idols. His father even drove him out, and Prophet Ibrahim left his village, but he still prayed for his father.

Among the lessons we can take from this story, and as an example of respect towards parents, are:

1) Use good, beautiful, and gentle language with parents.

2) Be kind. Be a good child, even if parents are rude to us.

3) Be humble. Never feel superior to your parents, and always pray for them.

Suggestion to improve:

Everything is good. Maybe we can play some games.

Every week, we shared knowledge, stories, and prayers, and today we create our last memories, writing wishes, exchanging messages, and taking a photo together as a symbol of the bond we have built. Though our meetings may come to an end for now, the memories and prayers for one another will continue.

May we continue to stay strong and motivated in seeking knowledge, and a big congratulations for making it through semester 1.

What we learned in second week of usrah is about hikmah or wisdom of law and acts of worship in Islam. In Quran, there's a verse that said, Allah did not create humans and jinn except to worship Him.

Prayer (Solat)
In Surah Al-Ankabut verse 5, Allah commands humans to pray. When praying, we must be sincere, feel fear of Allah, but in moderation (not too fearful and not overly comfortable).

Fasting (Puasa)
Allah commands us to fast. The wisdom of fasting includes developing empathy, cultivating discipline (waking up for sahur, eating at the time of breaking the fast, self-control) and got closer to Allah. By nature, humans seek Allah during hardships, and we will always be in situations where we seek His help.

Zakat (Almsgiving)
The wisdom of zakat includes purifying our wealth and ourselves, and helping those in need.

Pilgrimage (Hajj)
The wisdom of hajj includes fostering discipline due to the many conditions that must be fulfilled.
