Bree is a girl that moved across the world to a different state to get a fresh start of life and to feel safe again after her father was killed in their house and she survived. She meets a guy name Archer Hale who doesn't talk because of a tragedy that happened years ago. They become somewhat friends.

Bree got a job as a waitress and made a couple friends her age who keep her distracted. She has an old neighbor who she talks to almost every morning. Bree rides her bike down to the lake with her dog phoebe and she reads and swims there.

Bree speaks maturely and with respect to everyone around her but she is also shy at times but can be talkative if you have a good conversation going. Bree is always lost in her thoughts with the incident that she had with her father and she gets anxiety attacks from it. She has an effect that is easy to like and talk to her. Bree speaks before she thinks and she most of the time gets embarrassed by her actions. Bree has long light brown hair but the book doesn't really explain her much.

The main character, Bree is a dynamic character. In the beginning of the book she has moved far away from home to get a new start and to heal. Throughout the book she learns what is best for herself and changes in a good way that is healthy for her.

Bree has been through a tradegy and her father died for her. He was murdered by a guy in their store they owned and they could not find the murderer. While she is at her new home she got a call from her detective saying they have a list of guys and she needs to go in to identify her fathers murderer. Bree only did it for justice for her father. She identified the guy and he is going to jail. It took her a lot of courage to face that and see that face again but she did it with the help of her boyfriend.

In my book I like that the author lets me read from both the main characters point of view and not just one. I enjoy how the author can make the book so interesting I feel like I am in the book. I also like how the author can write to make each character have such different personalities when reading. I also love how the plot is very interesting and gives a side of romance.
