Maria Fernanda Jarquin

October 7th 2017

Mr. Smith

English 11

 The Nazi Creator

Is everything we see on media true? Adolf Hitler the “Nazi Creator” was born April 20, 1889 and died on April 30, 1945. He was known as the Nazi creator because he hated the jews. He believed that jews should be divided because they were different and he didn't care killing them , because he didn't like them. About 6.5 nazis voted for him but he came second in the elections and he hated everyone who was not German. Later on the president died and he became president. Hitler made a lot of propaganda specially with the jews. He always wanted to be in charge of the things and he always wanted to be right, and when he wasn't he would often get upset.

Back in 1919 Hitler was a “failed artist” he was not considered worthy of promoting because of his lack of leadership qualities. Yet 26 years later he started gaining power, hitler's political career began in Munich when he joined the German Workers party. This was a group of extreme nationalists who saw their role as trying to win over German workers from internationalist Social Democratic Party, so that at the end the effects would be to induce people that the Jews were the most responsibles for Germany's quandary. On 1921 he became the leader of the group and he renamed it to National Socialist German Workers' Party and in less than 12 years it had became the biggest party. On 1933 Hitler was named as the man of the year by the Time Magazine. Hitler was labeled the “greatest threatening force that the democratic, freedom-loving world faces today.”

However Hitler lost power in 1945. One of the main reasons was that he became hatred by many groups and all he did was blame on the others. He didn't care for the people he killed. Over 22 million people died in one of the most insensate and least understood wars in history. The only thing he cared for was revenge and because of this in less than years after rising to power he started a war in which he lost over 55 million of people.

Hitler appeared on the news often, and of course this were frequently bad news. The news precisely focused on the bad part of him for example killing a lot of jewish people. Claudius was the antagonist of the play. He was a person who manipulated fortune and took what was not rightly his. Claudius has a number of dishonorable traits, such as his selfishness and corruption. He is an ambitious man who wants to proceed himself in whatever way he can. Claudius is manipulative in his use of language and is said to have killed his brother King Hamlet by pouring poison into his ear.

"That cannot be, since I am still possess'd Of those effects for which I did the murder: My crown, mine own ambition, and my queen." Act 3 Scene 3 Page 3 In this quote Claudius killed Hamlet's crown (that is, to become King of Denmark), to serve his own ambitious nature, and in order to marry Gertrude, the Queen of Denmark. I could compare Hitler and Claudius because they only think about themselves. Hitler believed that jews should be divided because they were different and he didn't care killing them, because he didn't like them. If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed. "Adolf Hitler". In this quote Hitler basically says that lying is always good, because as you keep your lies everyone will believe you.

Maria Fernanda Jarquin

October 7th 2017

Mr. Smith

English 11

How does contemporary media use tragedy?

"That cannot be, since I am still possess'd Of those effects for which I did the murder: My crown, mine own ambition, and my queen." Act 3 Scene 3 Page 3

Is everything we see on media true? There's a saying that says “don't believe everything you read”. Basically humans often believe what they read because it sounds convincing or because our brains think this is correct, but it is always good to check other sources and read other articles to see if what you are reading is true or not.

A great example of how does contemporary media use tragedy would be Adolf Hitler. .Hitler appeared on the news often, and of course this were frequently bad news. The news precisely focused on the bad part of him for example killing a lot of jewish people. Although when Hitler was little he was very intelligent, he had a great vision when he was little, he wanted to be a king but sadly he ended up killing recital people. He was an ingrate person always being pugnacious, and of course this was great content for the news because this attracted more people to see them. Adolf Hitler the was born April 20, 1889 and died on April 30, 1945.

He was known as the “Nazi creator” because he hated the jews.

Back in 1919 Hitler was a “failed artist” he was not considered worthy of advocating because of his lack of leadership qualities. On 1921 he became the leader of the group and he renamed it to National Socialist German Workers' Party and in less than 12 years it had become the biggest party. On 1933 Hitler was named as the man of the year by the Time Magazine. The only thing he cared for was revenge and because of this in less than years after rising to power he started a war in which he lost over 55 million of people.

A great comparison would be Hitler and Claudius from Hamlet. Claudius was the antagonist of the play. He was the brother of the old king, who he murdered to throne and marry queen Gertrude. Claudius is manipulative in his use of language and is said to have killed his brother King Hamlet by pouring poison into his ear. He was a person who manipulated fortune and took what was not rightly his. Claudius has a number of dishonorable traits, such as his selfishness and corruption. He is an ambitious man who wants to proceed himself in whatever way he can.

At the same time Claudius loves Gertrude and that's why he doesn't kill Hamlet, because of Gertrude's sake. Also Claudius the death of Hamlet's father to create sense of national solidarity and he said "the whole kingdom/To be contracted in one brow of woe" (1.2.3-4). At this point Claudius has done the most horrible thing just to get the power. Now he has the role of a king in which he can “unite” the people but behind a collective suffering.

In conclusion media often uses this type of news to attract more viewers. Most of the time media often focuses on tragic news since people are more interested to this and they get more distracted by this. Tragedy often appears Like Hitler, he was great news because all of the deaths he caused and the tragic things he did. Due to this, he often appeared on news. To this I think that Hitlers life and Claudius would make great content for the media.
