Northern parts of the United States however saw the more peaceful side of the movement; whereas, southern parts of the United States saw violent rioting and black power movements. This general, but not strict, trend could be explained by how strong the anti-black sentiments were.</div>]]></description>

Reconstruction proved to be very beneficial to blacks' equality, but it was retaliated by whites with Jim Crow Laws. The two sides, pro-equality and anti-equality, would battle against one another from thenceforth. Racial tensions will never be completely erased; some still linger today.</div>]]></description>
