As educators, we know what is needed in our own specific classroom, sometimes calling for customized or personalized learning.  (No different than we do for our kiddos).  Check out the data in the columns to the right and feel free to add your ideas of opinions on the findings.  **Note, the survey responses were very few, but this survey can easily be orchestrated across a larger audience for further and future discussions. </div>]]></description>

Polling indicates that while no one prefers a school wide, or generic PD,&nbsp; a small group (customized) or individual learning (personalized) is preferred.</div>]]></description>

Teachers do have a duty to continue to sharpen their tools, and making the most of their hours in learning opportunities is key. </div>]]></description>

         <title>If I had my ways....</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When looking at the requests and ideas of those polled, it is apparent that a desire to shape your own learning exists.  <br><br>Setting up Learning Environments could include teacher's choosing from a menu of options for PD or starting the school year with school wide and class wide SMART goals. Learning opportunities can be offered both in house from co-workers as well as from outside presenters, or online software/job aides etc.  <br><br>As each individual can customize their learning to meet the goals of the school and their classroom, collaboration is key.  Minimum monthly meetings of collaboration should be held to share out on best practices and to garner advice from colleagues.  Live meetings or virtual meetings can be held, but it is recommended that a real-time discussion forum be accessible for teachers to communicate and collaborate between meetings.   Teachers will continued to be measured for their hours and performance as growth should occur with learning opportunities. </div>]]></description>
