I chose this book because I haven’t read it and I was reading other books. This book was also the Newbery Medal winner in 2017 which means it is a great book for children.

In the first chapter, the author wrote about a conversation between a mother and her daughter. The young girl was eager to know about a witch that lived in the forest. But the mother said she didn’t like children and no one wished to see her so every one tried to stay as far away from her as possible. I think that the next chapter might talk about how the girl is older and she is eager to find the witch in the woods even though a lot of people try to stop her.

I read the book Wings of Fire and in one of the books, a lot of dragons have to go on a mission to stop a huge war from happening. There is one dragon names Starflight and he loves to read books and observe different maps which is why he guides everyone else to where they are supposed to go. I love to read too so I think I would like to be Starflight’s assistant so that I can help him and all the other dragons to find their way to different kingdoms.

In the first chapter, the author introduced the characters to the reader and it showed a family of 4 grandparents 2 parents and their child, Charlie. Their family was poor and only Charlie’s dad had a job. Charlie loved chocolate and saw Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, so I think in the next chapter he will try to get in to the factory.
