         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Starting point<br>Using the theme of social relationships I would use this question as a stimulus.<br><br>Question/Claim<br>How does the language and culture of social media alter our perception? <br>What is the balance of reason vs. emotion in social media narratives?<br><br>I think it is a great way to capitalize on the students existing knowledge and interests to provoke class discussion. Its an opportunity to see a divide in opinion and chance for debate debate.<br><br>Topic<br>This would be ideal to be used alongside the topic of Advertising for an audience: What sells and what doesn’t?<br><br>My text type focus would be <br>1. I have used ideas from the Cambridge English B class book to other cultures and tradition that differ to the ones apparent in my class. Students seeking and exploring CAS opportunities are quite widespread and available. <br><br>I have explored the topic of Volun-tourism in lessons and students have been able develop letter writing skills contacting NGO's seeking places on volunteering programmes. <br><br><br>Students develop written skills including persuasive language techniques and write and construct a letter to</div><div>non-profit organisations in the hope of a place. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
