No, because this bomb is one of the most deadliest bombs ever. I watched the video on the history website, and it was devastating. Just a huge mushroom in the sky, fire, smoke, radiation, light,bones, bodies, homeless, anything sad. Although I would have WANTED to end the war, I would never want to kill and/or injure so many people. Im sure there was another way, but i guess the bomb stopped the war faster.

During WW2, Japan was trying to expand and would not surrender. President Roosevelt had just recently died at this time, and it was up to the rest of the government to try and end the war. The vice president decided to drop an atomic bomb over first Hiroshima, and then 3 days later Nagasaki.

2. What was happening during this time period?

Before the atomic bomb was dropped, Japan started expanding towards us and the US government told them to stop. When Japan refused to surrender however, we dropped the atomic bomb twice to end the war.
