The two passages “Fraud, bribes, lies: how rich parents got their kids into elite colleges” and “Are college recruiters shunning schools in low-income areas?” are very different. The first passage talks about how wealthy and famous parents took advantage of their money by buying their kids’ way int elite colleges. Many terrible things were done such as lying on records and even photoshopping their kids’ faces on athletes’ bodies. Several people were shocked.  The second passage talks about how college recruiters are only targeting higher income areas, as opposed to lower income areas. This means they are suggesting that only well-off kids want to go to college because of the money.

I believe there are more differences than similarities. One is that the first passage talked about getting into college. The other was about people not getting that chance. The first text was about others cheating colleges. The second was about colleges basically cheating others.

I believe that the passages have many difference. In the first passage, the author talked about how parents lied about their kids to get into good colleges. They cheated on the big test, posted their child’s photo on athlets bodies, and much more. In the second passage, the author talked about what colleges were doing. Colleges would really only go to school with higher incomine areas to look for students, not the lower income areas. In contrast they have very few similarities.
