1) We think that redefining success in Singapore is important because traditional measures, like academic achievements and high-paying jobs, may not fully reflect a person’s fulfillment and well-being. While success has always been associated with financial stability and very good, high paying careers, there is growing recognition that success should also include personal happiness, mental well-being and contributing to society.

2)By broadening the definition of success to include personal well-being, happiness, and contributions to society, Singaporeans can pursue careers and lifestyles that align with their passions and strengths so that they can be happy

I think that everyone has a very stereotypical definition of success whether it's academically or financially.

I feel that this is a negative and toxic mindset because it prevents people from pursuing what they want to do in fear of failure which is seen as a bad thing.

1.)I feel that success is defined based on what big goals you want to achieve at the moment, you make small and smart goals to reach that big goal which would represent success, success is always not just one thing, there are as long there is a goal or something you want to do, success will be at the end of that.

I feel like each person's definition of success will vary, be it academic, materialistic or otherwise.
Failing should not be seen as a "bad thing", as it is necessary to aid you in learning what not to do in the future.
The 5Cs (cash, condominium, car, credit card, country club) are strange to me as these are only materialistic and only correlate to success in the financial sector.

I agree with what it says. As society gets more developed, the definition of success also changes. People have different definitions of success but most times it would be about academic success. I think that instead of having the definition revolve around academics only, success should go beyond it.

I think it's important to speak up about this rather than keep it to ourselves because this can lead to a lot of stress and pressure being carried alone.

Thoughts: I think that we should have different ideas of success as we all of different interests, our success could be finding a job that suits our interests or going to university.

Feeling: Happy, I really think that the old definition of success, where everyone had to have a high paying job or a big house, is really toxic as if people have not reached that success, they will feel bad about themselves.

1.my views about this is that there are different types of successes as it depends on what different people want. I feel that the views of being successful has to change because even if a person has achieved outstanding accomplishments, it might not the true success for that person, and if that person is satisfied and happy in life. For most of the people, the definition of success to them is having great finance, high paying careers or even getting famous among the country to be recognised by their parents because of the high expectations from them. However, things like happiness, mental wellbeing and contributing to society despite being not the best out there need to be included in the word "success".

my thoughts are that I agree that redefining success is important. The Main thing we need to change if we want to expect change from others mindset of success(5Cs) is our own mindset first, before influencing others to do the same as we ought to be the change we want to say. I feel that At the end of the day, success should be defined as that of where majority of us Singaporeans are living happy lives(that we worked hard to achieve our dreams and goals),people who give back to society over academic and economical achievements.

The importance of achieving different thoughts and definitions of success is that we are a more inclusive,happy,peaceful society. Furthermore, if we keep contributing and giving back to society, it will benefit the lives of others in our community, spreading the happiness to others around us, which makes us a more accepting community.

1) i think that most people have standardized visions of success, like doing well academically for students and doing well financially for adults. These definitions of success are very stereotypical as it can cause unnecessary stress given by these definitions of success as they might be held back by these expectations of them.
