I particularly like this photo as this photo gives the impression like you are in the stadium with the way the shot is took. It gives you the feeling that you are surrounded by seats. There are a lot of leading lines throughout the picture, with the support of the roof and the spaces in-between seats. You can tell that the picture was shot with a fish eye lens or has been took with a panoramic lens as they have picked up mostly all of the stadium. There are no people present in this picture as i think they wanted to see the stadium like it was without the masses of people so you see the stadium as it is. The contrast from the red of the seats and the green of the grass really work well together in the picture

I really like how the building blends in with the sky as the building is made of glass. This creates a reflection effect with the surrounding buildings. Also, the peculiar shape of the building really stands out with the typical building residing beside it. The photo would of been took on a side angle which offers a different perspective of what the building will look like. Also, the photographer might have took the picture on another building or used a drone. The picture may have been cropped as you cannot see the whole building.

I really like this photo as this the photo as the photo is directly in the middle of the photo and is all placed in the rule of 3 of the photo. The contrast of the modern looking building with the typical skyscrapers and buildings really makes the shot of the building really stand out. The road beside the building makes a leading line, making the building in the middle of everything in the city.

The shape of the building is very strange, as you cannot really see the logistical side of it. There are very limited conventions such as leading line and depth. The background of the building really reflects the colour of the building. The green grass and the blue sky really contrast well. The camera angle of the photo is not traditional as they did not take it from a front view, it was took from an angle to show off the peculiar shapes in the building.

This photo is pleasing to the eye as the photo is very simple and plain. There is no people in the photo as they wanted to show off the architecture of this metro terminal. The simplicity of colours with the photo being mainly white with a blue trim really brings out the columns. This shot is very symmetrical as it looks like you have reflected the image as it is the same on either side of the seats.

This photo is very basic. There is no bright colours in the photo, just the light imminting from the ceiling lights from the side of the escalator . The photographer must have been crouched on the floor looking up at the escalator to create a towering effect. There is leading lines with the handles of the structure leading up towards the higher floor.

There is alot of colours contracting in this photo, with the green, blue and red mixing with the white wall. This photo completely differs from the photos of perfect, well structured skyscrapers, as this looks rough and crampted

Unlike looking at just buildings and modern structures, i chose this picture as it was quite different to others. This picture has leading lines which is on an angle so you do not know where the bridge is leading to. This photo also looks cropped as you cannot see the rest of the road.

I particularly like this photo as it looks like a snapshot of time. The photo seems simplistic as it is just a man is buying a hotdog from a hotdog vendor but it does show what the streets looked like in the early 90s of New York. The use of the black and white really gives the photo a retro feel, making it feel older than it is. The hot dog cart and the man is is focus with the background appearing blurry. This has been changed by how the camera has been set up.

This photo is quite simplistic. The image of what looks like a quiet day in New York main road. Like the image above, it is also in black and white. I think this makes certain aspects of the photo stand out like the road marking for example. The road marking aks as a leading line on the photo, giving the image alot of depth. There is also leading lines on the curbs on the streets. Street photography does not need fany effects, as it just captures everyday life.

With this image, you don't know what the situation is, and why she looks so angry, but it does make you think. The woman does fit in the rule of thirds as she is the main image of the photo. the photo is also balanced with the the rubbish on the ground, the woman in th picture and the car. This creates a fuller image with more context

The next image i like, as it shows the difference in people in a certain place. You get two men, in suits, probably going work and you get a woman in a dress walking across the shot. The shot is perfectly balanced, with the women in the background, the woman in the forefront of the image and the two men on the right of the image. The image does not have any blank space. The use of black and white really does make certain parts of the photo, the girls dress and the mens suit, react with one another.

I like this image as it shows quite a traditional outlook of Britain in the mid-nighties. With just this image, i can see that this has been took near a seaside location with the clear skies and wooden shacks. You can see the difference in the picture, of a pile of rubbish, next to a baby. This image, unlike the others, use color in the image. The bright colours really give the image more light and highlight certain aspects of the picture. The photo uses a rule of thirds, with the baby and what i assume is the mother and father being in the main spots of the image.

I like this photo as the football pitch has been captured in a peculiar angle. The camera has been placed in the corner of the pitch, with the camera having a high shot, almost looking at the view a footballer would have if he was playing on the pitch. There is a lot of leading lines i the image, with the lines of the pitch and the gates creating depth in the photo. The light from the floodlights creates a reflection on the pitch.

This photo is quite different to other photos of football pitches. This shot is focused on the floodlights beaming on to the grass. This is creating a picture using light in the image. Because the shot was dark, the ISO would have been upwards of 1600, as you will want to capture as much light as possible moreover, the aperture will have also had been high as the shot was very dark and wanted to capture the light from the floodlights to make the photo brighter.

i like this image as it is very simple. The camera has been lowered so it is on the baseline of the tennis court. The baseline creates a leading line in the photo, going straight down the shot. The shot is well balanced as the ball and line take most of the photo creating a lot of content. The ball and the start of the line is in focus, with the background out of focus. This is due to a shallow depth of field due to a lower aperature

I like this photo as the photo uses shadows as the main piece of the photo. The sun behind the golfer creates a silhouette look to the man. There is reflection in this photo, as the sun is reflecting from the dark golf course. I also like the subtlety of the sports aspects of the shot. You only realise that the shot is sports due to the golf flag and the golf ball floating in the distance.

This shot uses weather to its advantage in creating this photo. As the basketball court is wet, it becomes reflective so it mirrors the surrounding area on the surface of the court. I am planning to use this technique in my work as i find it very creative and nice to look at. There is leading lines in this shot as well which creates depth in the shot. The photo is quite colourful and eye catching, with the red, blue and brown colours reflecting with the glum looking building behind the court.

I wanted to look at other sports which do not have a court or a pitch. I come across this photo of a swimming pool. Straight away, the colour of the photo is very bright and lively, the bright blue water against the black markings underneath really contrast well together. There is also a leading line with the black foam guard carrying on progressively through the shot creating distance. The photographer would have had to look downwards, towards the pool, to create the leading line effect.

I can't see myself emulating this photo in my work as there is a lack of beaches in the Manchester area. I like this image as there is a shadow effect on the sand of the person holding the cricket bat. The way the shot is taken, it does feel that you are the wicket keeper in this match as the photographer has took the photo behind the wickets.

This image is different to quite alot of other photos i have chosen as this is the only one which is black and white. The placement of the ball makes the ball look huge due to the perspective of where the ball has been placed. The photo would have been a high angle shot as the photographer would have had to lay on the ground to capture the ball from underneath it. The use of the black and white really simplifies the shot, with the white of the ball and they grey of the sky contrast well.
