Events in history that had used the certain word are was changed it's meaning. The word "president" wasn't seen to be very impressive until dozens of people had given tons of actions that were respectful to that word.

2.    What words can you identify in poetry and/or music that have changed in meaning over past centuries?
The word "sick" used to be used to describe someone who was ill but is now used for something that is thought of to be cool.

3.    How does this information create a deeper understanding for your study of Shakespeare?
It helps me understand that there are words that were used in Shakespeare's time for a different meaning than the one that is known today.
