1. An exmaple of how evolution is an ongoing process in all living organism is resistance to antibotics. When humans take too much antibotics they can become resistant to them therefore causing the dna sequence to alter which will continue on.
2. An outgroup is lineage that is least closely related to an organism in a phylogenetic tree. 3. Speciation occurs when two populations cannot reproduce or reproductively isolated.
4. A species is a group of organisms that can successfully breed/reproduce and have off-springs that can reproduce.
5. Punctuated equilibrum happens when evolution happens quickly (100's of yrs). Meanwhile, gradualism is when evolution happens much slower (thous/million yrs)
6. Divergent Evolution occurs when 2 gorups of the same species develop different traits within their population.
7. Sympatric is when the populations are togehter geographically but still reproductive isolate. However, Allopatric, is when speciations happen due to a geographic divide.
