(7B) DO NOW Padlet: Explaining Strategies For Line Editing & Proofing by Dario Sulzman

Below are 4 strategies for Line Editing & Proofing. For your DO NOW Padlet, imagine that you had to teach these strategies. How would you explain the reasoning behind each one to your students? (You only need to respond to the strategies you understand the purpose of). For the strategies you don't understand, just say you don't understand it in your post (or ask a question that addresses the source of your confusion).

Reading your work aloud can be helpful for looking for typos that you wouldn't find if you read it in your head or skimmed through it. Shortening sentences make your essay simpler and clarifies what you're stating. #3 and #4 seem the same to me, a sentence which is confusing is usually too "wordy." You're basically shortening both sentences and getting to the point.

#2 is the most confusing to me, I don't fully understand what proof and line edit means
