The story revolves around a boy and his grandmother and their encounters with witches. 

I liked how Roald Dahl got the idea of witches and changed how they work and do their magic completely. In the story the witches do not have magic wands or broom sticks like the conventional witches.

This is about the main characters lives after Ragnarok(Ragnarok is the cataclysmic destruction of the cosmos and everything in it – even the gods. When Norse mythology is considered as a chronological set of tales, the story of Ragnarok naturally comes at the very end)that happened in the 3rd book when Magnus chase and his friends beat Loki and preventing the universe to be taken over by the bad guys.There are 9 stories of all of Magnus Chase's friends. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Norse mythology.

Since he appeared , weird things have been happening in Ruby’s school, neighbourhood and much more , and it’s up to Ruby to finds out what’s going on.

During the journey, they face trolls, meets elfs and fought goblins/orcs.

I like the book because it makes me feel that i'm in the world they are in. The book is also quite long, so it might keep you occupied. It is also related to The Lord Of The Rings series.
